Chinese Shamanic Clinical Qigong

Energy Healing for the Mind, Body, and Spirit

Qigong means “cultivation of energy,” and Clinical Qigong is the practice of manipulating the underlying energy within the patient’s body in order to provide physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual therapy. Working within the same theoretical and philosophical framework as acupuncture, Clinical Qigong is a therapy used in hospitals in China that includes both hands-on and hands-off techniques without the use of needles. The goal of Clinical Qigong is to unblock any impediments in the body’s circulation in order to achieve balance/homeostasis in the mind, body, and spirit. It is considered by many as a form of “energy work”.

What is a Chinese Shamanic Clinical Qigong Session Like?

Very similar to an acupuncture treatment, the patient lays down on the table either face up or face down, depending on the condition being treated. When settled on the table, the patient may then be led to a very relaxed state with a guided meditation, utilizing the breath and various visualizations. The treatment is done with either the hands gently on the patient in various areas from head to toe, or completely off the body. Patients normally feel very subtle tingling sensations all throughout the body, and sometimes see a lively swirl of colors with their eyes closed. The end result is usually a feeling of relaxation and inner peace.
